The shift
Agentic
AI that takes initiative and completes multi-step work on its own — the opposite of a chatbot you prompt turn by turn. In the Agentic OS it describes staff you delegate to, not tools you operate.
Operator
You — the owner who directs the AI staff and makes the calls. The operator sets the goals and grants the go-ahead; the staff do the keystrokes.

AI employee
A named member of your AI staff with a face, a role, and an install packet — Harper in HR, a CRO for pipeline, a Chief of Staff running the day-to-day. An AI employee is bigger than a skill: it owns an outcome and carries a stack of skills to deliver it.

One defined job your AI does the same reliable way every time, written as a job description — not a one-off prompt. Skills and capabilities are the units of work your AI employees carry; several skills stack into one employee.

The company brain
Company Brain (the Atlas Folder)
The one home for everything your business knows — context, voice, decisions, SOPs — kept as plain files in your Atlas Folder on your own machine or Drive. Every AI employee reads it before acting. It is yours, never ours.
Session
One saved conversation with Harper. Each session is a hire in progress — reopen it to continue, or start a new one; your team gets built across them.
Connecting your tools
Connector
The live link between your AI and a real tool or service — your inbox, your calendar, this catalog. Connectors grant reach; skills define the work. They are different things.
Connector key
Your personal key on the end of the Agentic Society connector URL — the proof of your seat. Reveal it on Connect, copy it, paste it into Claude once; it stays the same every visit.
MCP / gated catalog
The secure pipe that serves your membership the skill catalog inside your own Claude — licensed and ready to run, never the raw source.
How work ships
Install pack / activation prompt
What you download after a hire: your Atlas Folder skeleton with the employee's packet inside, plus one activation prompt. Unzip the folder, connect your MCP, paste the prompt into Claude inside that folder — that is the whole install.
